Meet the Maker: B Fresh Gear
The B Fresh Gear story began in 2012 when founders Brian Blake and Jon Frechin realized, over a couple of pints at a local brewery, their shared dream of creating an innovative company that would foster a stylin' culture, while also funding their respective creative outlets. A few more brews later, B Fresh was born. The Mile High-based company outfits folks with their signature "Southwest meets the 90's" inspired sustainably-made fanny packs, hats, wooden sunglasses and more.
WHAT DOES B Fresh MEAN TO YOU?
A life void of being bored. Passion with a purpose. The opportunity to contribute to our beloved artistic community as purveyors of the nostalgically new! A chance to participate in the creation of expression bigger than the self. A thrift store dream. Most importantly, a
constructive outlet for inspired humor and fashion.
WHY DO YOU DO what you do?
Because the best hat we’ve ever laid our eyes on came from a Santa Fe construction company dated 1993. Brands weren't creating the styles we wanted to wear, so we did.
What materials do you work with?
Sublimated polyester and nylon blends. Cordura. Lots of hemp. Rain forest alliance certified sustainable woods. Recycled horse saddle. Waxed denim. Acid washed denim. Corduroy. Bamboo. Organic cotton. Beer.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCT OR COLLECTION YOU've CREATED?
We’re really excited about our line of ski vests dropping early November. Really, really excited!
If you could work with another Colorado maker or brand, who would it be and
Our Alma Mata’s. To design CU and CSU gear would be a dream come true.
Then again, dreams are made to come true!
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF YOUR DAY?
Designing fanny packs, what else?
on the denver flea team's wish list:
The Saved by the...Fanny Pack, because as the B Fresh crew says - fanny packs are back!
