Fleakin' Friday 10.13.17

The snow didn't stop us from leaf peeping on Monday!

Happy Friday the 13th!

What a week! From the snow on Monday to yesterday's 80 degree temps, it went from fall to winter, and then back to late summer in the course of five days - gotta love Colorado! With the crazy weather and the launch of the Dispatch, it's been an exciting week for us here at Denver Flea HQ. This weekend, we're looking forward to partaking in some of the fun fall activities around town, unpacking more of our winter clothes (though, keeping in mind it's going to be in the 70s next week), and heading back to Hudson Hill to try a few more of those new fall cocktails.

Sending you off to the weekend with a few links and things we're loving this week:

Want to Netflix and chill this weekend? We've got two great suggestions, depending on your mood: 1. Given, an inspiring documentary, if you need a positive pick-me-up 2. quirky comedy series, Life in Pieces, if you just need a good laugh.

Alexa is quickly becoming Blake's favorite life hack.

We're digging the idea behind Wayfinder Co-Op, a member-owned coworking space and community for folks in the outdoor and travel industries opening this winter over on Santa Fe. Interested? Head to one of their weekly info and beer sessions on Wednesdays.

The colder temps have us craving soup, and Megan is all about this cauliflower one

On the Flea reading list: The Hard Things About Hard Things, Disrupt Yourself, and Setting the Table (after Devon heard Shake Shack's Danny Meyer speak at the CRA Show on Monday).

.If you need to re-set before the season of "eat, drink, and be merry-ness" , Blair Horton, local nutrition consultant and blogger behind Holistic Rendezvous, is hosting an event about how to stay during the holidays at Just BE Kitchen on Saturday. Can't go? Grab her Liver Love Cleanse e-book for $3 off with the code "Denverflea".

Amy's loving the fall sweaters and colors at Rustic Thread in Highlands Square.

Slowly but surely working our way through 5280's "25 Best Restaurants 2017" list (but we just can't quit returning to Hop Alley!).

We're gunning to have the best pumpkins on the block this Halloween, thanks to the great inspo we're finding in this guide.

Everyone needs a good house wine and Devon's pick for the fall is Line 39 Pinot Noir, which received 90 points from Wine Enthusiast (i.e. it's good). News flash: Highlands Wine & Liquor has it on sale for $7.99 right now - do yourself a favor and stock up now.
