Fleakin' Friday 6.15.18
It's Red Rocks Season! The view from last night's First Aid Kit and Ryan Adams concert.
As of today, it's officially t-minus one month till the Summer Flea! Haven't bought your tickets yet? Do it now - and check out our AWESOME vendor lineup while you're at it. Though it's been a busy week filled with Flea prep (and, firming up the deets on some exciting news!), it's also been one with good food and good art - and it's looking our weekend's will be filled with the same.
And with that, here's a list of some things our team is excited about these days:
It's officially Red Rocks season! Devon stopped by last night for Ryan Adams and First Aid Kit, Jo is heading there tonight for Odesza, and Dispatch is playing on Sunday! Make the most of having the country's most beautiful outdoor venue (disclaimer: that may be somewhat of a biased statement) and get a show on your calendar STAT!
We're all about maximizing our outdoor time during the summer, which also means moving our workouts outside. So, we're stoked that soon-to-open Alchemy is hosting free classes at Sloan's Lake in June and July to celebrate their LoHi studio's grand opening, as well as some other places around town (i.e. Zuni Brewery this weekend). You'll get an ass-kicking workout (re: LOT of burpees) but it's not that bad when you do it lakeside, we promise. Get more details on their Facebook page.
Don't want to turn on your oven but craving something sweet? Devon is making this icebox cake for a BBQ on Saturday.
For those of you with forthcoming summer travel plans, be sure to head to DIA early to get in some FREE mini-golf action.
For all you river rats, Fib Ark Festival is this weekend in Salida.
Father's Day is also this weekend! For those of you with family nearby, 5280 put together an A+ list of the best brunches around town to help you decide where to toast a mimosa or Bloody Mary to Pops and the father figures in your life.
Devon's heading to Mexico next week and this beach bag is on the top of her wishlist.
Bike to Work Day is coming up June 27th, so get start loosening your legs with some brewery bike rides this weekend. Bonus tip: if you take your wheels through RiNo, stop at Ratio Beerworks on Sunday for a gear drive and fundraiser to support Girls Rock, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through music. $1 of all beers sold will be given to the organization so - drink up!
Jo went to the preview party for Safta, James Beard award winning Chef Alon Shaya's forthcoming modern Israeli restaurant at The Source Hotel - which only left her drooling for more freshly-baked hot pita and smooth hummus.
Are your walls in need of a refresh? Check out this awesome digital print shop for great pictures and prints that you can download for $15 and print/frame/hang however you want! This, this, and this are currently up in Devon's apartment.
