Fleakin' Friday 8.24.18
It certainly began to feel like fall this week, with lower (i.e. chilly, rainy and gray) weather and the official launch of our Fall Flea festivities (snag your tix!). And though we're gearing up for all those #fallfeels, we're relishing every bit of summer we've got left. Whether you're planning on laying low or doing it up big this weekend, we hope you have a good one.
Wrapping up the week with a few places, things and articles we can't stop talking 'bout:
Rachael's weekend will kick off with the last of Stapleton's outdoor film series, Coco, playing tonight at Founders Green Park.
The Flea team's dining plans for this weekend include : Bistro Barbes in North Park Hill, where Rachael is happy to know a White Russian is listed as a featured cocktail; a late group dinner with lots of tapas at Barcelona in RiNo; and a stop at the ever-classic Wooden Spoon Bakery in LoHi for a seasonal cherry almond scone.

The Flea Fam is gearing up for a company retreat in the Wet Mountain Valley next week, which will include a stop Elevation Meat Market in Westcliffe (say "hi" to Danny, the proprietor. He brings a lovely Texas drawl to the small town); Blake's go-to for grilling and smoking meats: Tulsa, Oklahoma's own Hasty Bake charcoal grills; and a trip to the skeet range for a full assault on some clay pigeons. "How do I make my own skeet range at home?", you say? Check out this spring loaded skeet thrower. Now grab your shotgun!
Megan attended a charitable facilitation that aims to raise $10,000 in 1 hour this week. The group, Mile High 100, meets every quarter at Ratio, and this time around featured three local nonprofits; https://www.projectworthmore.org/, http://thebluebench.org/ and https://bugtheatre.info/. So in case you’re looking ahead to your birthday fundraiser or Colorado Gives Day, you now know about three new nonprofits doing incredible work throughout Colorado!
