We’re excited to welcome to the Flea vendor family Meraki Printing, whose signature product, the Make Shit Happen Planner, a yearly planner/workbook/journal designed to empower you and help make your dreams a reality, has developed its very own global following. Founded by best friends Amara DePaul and Chelsea Williams, Meraki was created to inspire its fans and customers to live their life with love, creativity and soul through the use of the Make Shit Planner, which has a simple design, guided exercises and goal setting to help encourage positive action and change. Now, in addition to the planner, Meraki also offers inspirational swag like prints, t-shirts, and notebooks - all of which would make the perfect gift for any go-getter in your life this holiday season!

what does your brand mean to you?

Meraki means creating your life with love, creativity and soul. To us it means, stop waiting, and start creating a life you love, make shit happen, from where you are right now.

what was your inspiration for starting you brand?

Helping people feel more alive and more like themselves. No matter your circumstances there are usually 1-2 things you can control, even if that’s how you simply respond to something. Making shit happen can look like feeling a certain way, accomplishing something, etc.

What was the first product you created? 

Make Shit Happen Planner – it’s still our main product.

How HAS your BRAND evolved?

Our brand has grown into a global community. Our brand is more than just a planner, it’s now a lifestyle. We’ve seen thousands of our customers embrace the lifestyle of vision and goals and making shit happen. For those customer’s who’ve been with us since the beginning, they are about to complete their 2nd year with the Make Shit Happen Planner and they are able to look back and really see how much they’ve accomplished. Talk about empowerment!

what's your favorite product or collection you've created? 

Our favorite product we’ve created is the 2019 Make Shit Happen Planner, it’s our third year for our business and product, and we LOVE all of the design elements we’ve refined for this edition. We’re also starting to see tangible effects people using the planner the last 2 years – from customers starting their own businesses, quitting jobs, taking that dream trip they’ve always dreamed of, paying of loans


We were living life how we “should” be living it - in our stressed-out corporate lifestyles, around people that we didn’t like, feeling anxious and burnt out, waiting for Friday or our next vacation, basically feeling stuck. We were like “WTF there’s got to be something more to life than just this! We are not waiting until we retire to finally do the things we want to do.”

We started simple, and then decided, we’re gonna risk it all. We quit our jobs, we invested our own money in the business, we traveled, we put ourselves out there and started meeting people who felt like we did. We created a journal that we wanted to use personally, the Make Shit Happen Planner. After a successful six-figure crowdfunding campaign to rally our communities and raise enough money to first launch the product in 2016, we are now a quarter-of-a-million annual revenue company with a thriving global community.

What materials do you work with?

All planners are made in the USA. We use vegan leather cover material, thick beautiful paper that won’t bleed, luxurious ribbon book markers, and of course, foil design on the covers.

what's the best part of your day?

Receiving emails from customers sharing stories about how the planner has impacted their life. Also, seeing our planner in retail spaces.

Every year, we go on a 2-week international trip to create the next year’s planner. We come up with all new content, new monthly themes, new journal questions and new cover design for our Make Shit Happen Planner. The 2019 Planner content and design happened in Panama.



We created the Make Shit Happen Planner because we couldn’t find a product like it that helped us keep our vision and goals alive all year long. It’s changed our lives and the lives of our customers. We also strive for quality – everything we make is made in the USA.
