Meet the Maker: Vert Beauty

We're excited to welcome Vert Beauty, an all-natural green beauty boutique located in Highlands Square, to the Holiday Flea maker mix this year. With years of experience working for high-end and luxury beauty companies, Amanda Hume opened Vert in 2013 to be a fashion-forward one-stop shop for high-quality natural and organic beauty and body products, all at a reasonable price. In addition to its extensive makeup offering, the Vert team also provides makeup services for special events and photo shoots, as well as facials, skincare and waxing services. At the Flea, be sure to check out some of Vert's top brands like Tata Harper and RMS, as well as Vert's own beauty products such as Organic Concealer Pencils and Eyeliner Pencils.

What does your brand truly mean to you?

VERT simply means green in French. We wanted to create a space where people can feel confident when picking out products to use on their body. Vert Beauty offers only the finest organic and natural beauty products that nourish your skin and leave you looking radiant and healthy. Our brands have a very specific purpose — to create the healthiest options that highlight your natural beauty. We handpick each product based on the purity of its ingredient, the quality of its performance, and the environmental sustainability of its manufacturer.

first product you created?

VERT beauty concealer and eyeliner pencils.

how has your brand evolved and grown over the years?

When we opened in 2013, we started with offering makeup application and lessons inside of our retail boutique. We now offer some of the best organic facials in town, waxing services, makeup services and a booming bridal business.

what's your favorite product or collection you've created?

There are so many great brands here. I have favorites from each line. I love the Dr Alkaitis Cleanser, Tata Harper Eye Cream, Laurel Whole Plant Organics Antioxidant Serum, Ilia Beauty Lipstick, and the list goes on.

What was your inspiration for starting your company?

We were missing green beauty here in Denver. The only place to buy clean beauty was the grocery store and we needed more luxurious options. I started making eyeliners and concealer pencils because they were missing in the industry. I wanted fun eyeliner colors that were versatile, and everyone needs a concealer that they can touch up with on the go.
